This is the first update on my New Orleans Pelicans hunger strike since the first day with no solid foods. The second day wasn’t too bad because I was incredibly hungover and happy to just eat soup. The third day was less fun. Hammered 3 cups of coffee, a protein shake, V8, and more soup. Tonight will be another chance to end the strike and get the first win of the season against the Dallas Mavericks. Bad news: Dallas beat New Orleans like a drum Saturday. Good news: Tonight’s game is at the Gumbo Factory.
I’m not going to lie to anyone here, I desperately want to eat solid food. I want Chinese food, pizza, hamburgers, and hot wings more than I’ve wanted anything in my entire life. Tonight’s game is a decent shot at victory with our next game coming against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday then we don’t play again until Friday against the Raptors in the 6.
P.S. I hadn’t had a Smoothie King in probably 2-3 years before the hunger strike, but I’ve gotta say, those things are proper tasty. Peanut Power Plus is absolutely next level.
